The short answer

Photocopier servicing for Gold Coast offices

Our technicians service the photocopiers and multifunction printers on GDS leases across the Gold Coast.

Kyocera is our specialty.

A photocopier has more to look after than a plain printer, because the scanner and the document feeder wear as well as the printing parts.

If the copier is on a GDS lease, servicing is already inside your monthly figure.

Did the copier come from another supplier, or do you own it?

Then phone 1300 873 460 before anything else, and we will be upfront about whether we can take it on.

How to tell

An example of the message a copier shows when a part reaches its page count (the count shown is only an example).
  1. 01

A service message on the panel

The copier counts its own pages.

When a part that wears, like the drum, the fuser or the waste toner container, reaches its limit, a message appears.

  2. 02

    Jams that keep coming back

    Rule out the paper first.

If the jams return, a part has worn.

  3. 03

A line on copies that the prints do not have

That points at the scanning side, usually the narrow strip of glass the feeder uses.

  4. 04

The feeder takes two sheets at once

Feeder rollers lose their grip as they wear.

  5. 05

An error code that survives a restart

If the same code returns, it needs diagnosing.

That is a job for a technician.

Between them they form the image, carry the toner and fix it to the sheet.

Each is rated for a number of pages, not a number of months.

The copier keeps its own count, and they are changed when it says so.

Worn rollers are the usual reason jams keep returning.

Between services

What your team can do in the meantime

  1. 01

Wipe the glass with a dry, soft cloth

Do not use solvents on it.

Wipe the narrow feeder strip as well as the main glass.

  2. 02

Fan the paper before loading it

Dry, flat paper stops most jams before they start.

  3. 03

Change toner only when the copier asks

Swapping early wastes toner you have paid for.

Servicing on a lease

Every service visit inside one monthly figure

A GDS lease wraps the copier’s servicing, its toner, any parts and every call out into a single set monthly figure.

So a service visit is covered by your service agreement.

Expect a figure from $160 a month (plus GST), set by the copier you need, your monthly pages and the length of the term.

Our photocopier lease page sets out what the agreement covers.

Common questions

Photocopier servicing, your questions answered

Do you service photocopiers on the Gold Coast?

Yes.

Our Bethania workshop sends technicians to offices right across the Gold Coast.

A copier on a GDS lease is covered, and with any other copier, ring us first.

How often does a photocopier need servicing?

It depends on how many pages it produces.

Each part has a page life, which a hard working copier uses up faster than a lightly used one.

What does a photocopier service cost?

That depends on the copier and which parts are due, so ring and ask.

Lease customers pay nothing extra, because servicing sits inside the monthly figure.

Do you service multifunction printers?

Yes.

A multifunction printer and a photocopier are the same kind of machine.

Do you service brands other than Kyocera?

Kyocera is our specialty, and HP, Toshiba and OKI are brands we lease and service too.

With any other make, ring us with the model before booking.

Our copier has already stopped. Is that a service or a repair?

That is a repair.

Our copier repair service page explains what each fault usually means.

Book a photocopier service.

Tell us the model and roughly how many pages it has printed.

Weekdays between 8.30am and 7pm, a person picks up.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
