The three plans, and what each one covers
Each one is a managed print plan, so the machine and the service sit inside a single monthly fee.
Managed print is the printing version of a novated car lease, the machine, the servicing and the consumables all sit under one arrangement instead of three separate bills.

What the monthly fee includes on every plan
You buy paper.
That is the whole list of what you pay for separately.
Every plan carries the same list.
Scheduled maintenance, an account manager, usage monitoring, setup, network connection and staff training sit inside the fee as well.
Paper is the one printing cost that sits outside it.
What an A3 printer lease costs and what is included
An A3 printer lease from Global Document Solutions runs on three managed plans: $160, $199 and $299 a month plus GST.
The $160 a month plan plus GST covers 2,000 black and white pages.
The $199 a month plan plus GST covers 2,000 black and white pages plus 200 colour pages.
The $299 a month plan plus GST covers 5,000 black and white pages plus 500 colour pages.
Every plan includes the device, genuine toner, parts and drums, service labour, call outs, scheduled maintenance, an account manager, usage monitoring, setup, network connection and staff training.
The only printing cost you buy separately is paper.
Lease terms are 36, 48 or 60 months, there is no auto renewal clause, and Early exit is set out in plain English.
Your written quote confirms which plan and which A3 machine suit your volume.
Illustrative only, and not a quote.
Owning assumes a purchase price paid up front plus toner, parts and service bought every year.
Leasing assumes the $199 a month plan plus GST with toner, parts, service labour and call outs included.
Your written quote sets the real figures for your business.

Should you lease an A3 printer or an A4 printer
Here is the honest answer before the sales pitch.
If you never print or copy anything larger than a standard A4 sheet, A4 is enough, and an A3 machine is capacity you pay for and never use.
A3 earns its place when the page itself has to be bigger.
That means site plans, floor plans, drawings, wide spreadsheets, menus, rosters, double page proofs, and A3 originals that arrive from a client and have to be copied.
A3 and A4 compared
| What you need to do | A4 machine | A3 machine |
|---|---|---|
| Print letters, invoices, reports and quotes | Yes | Yes |
| Print or copy a full 297 x 420 mm sheet | No | Yes |
| Print a wide spreadsheet at readable size | Only by shrinking the type | At full size |
| Copy an A3 original a client sends you | No | Yes |
| Print plans, posters and menus in house | No | Yes |
| Space it takes up | Sits on a desk or a small stand | Needs floor space |
| Colour on the $199 and $299 plans | Yes | Yes |
| Scan and copy as one machine | Yes | Yes |
If two or more of the A3 rows describe a normal week for you, lease A3.
If none of them do, ask for the A4 quote instead and keep the difference.
Rough relative scale, and both panels are drawn at the same scale.
Exact dimensions vary by model and by the paper drawers and finisher fitted.
Ask for the floor plan of the machine on your quote before you clear a space for it.

The questions people ask before they sign
- 01
What happens if my print volume changes
Usage monitoring is included in every plan.
That means your account manager can see your real monthly volume instead of guessing at it.
Ask for a plan review as soon as your volume moves, up or down.
- 02
What if I only need A3 occasionally
Say so on the form and ask for both quotes.
If A3 is a once a month job, an A4 machine may be all you need.
If A3 originals arrive from clients and have to be copied, an A4 machine cannot do it.
- 03
What is not included
Paper.
You buy your own paper, and it is the only printing consumable outside the monthly fee.
Each plan covers the page volumes set out above, and your quote states your volume in writing.
- 04
What happens at the end of the term
Terms are 36, 48 or 60 months.
There is no auto renewal clause in the agreement.
At the end of the term the agreement continues month to month until the device is returned.
Early exit is covered, in plain English.
Read it before you sign and ask about anything that is not clear.
